God Reveals in Creation and Word
Psalm 19 teaches that God reveals himself to us by both general revelation (v1-6) and special revelation (v7-14). "The heavens declare the glory of God...day after day they pour forth speech" (v1-2) — this is God's general revelation of himself in creation to all mankind, so that all people can know God exists and are without excuse (Rom 1:20). "The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple." (v7) — this is God's special revelation of himself to his people in his word, the Bible, bringing them to salvation and into relationship with him.
